BLUE FLOW: a style of white earthenware sometimes porcelain, that originated in the Regency era, sometime in the 1820s, among the Staffordshire potters of England. The name is derived from the blue glaze that blurred or "flowed” during the firing process.
Stunning antique oval shaped platter, approximately 12 x 9 1/4” , some wear on the gold rim, some crazing, and a small hairline crack on the back. Please see photos. Made in Staffordshire, England.
